A viral video is floating on social media that suggests that Manoj Tiwari already knew the election date even before it was announced.
Sunil Arora, the Chief Election Commissioner held a press conference in which he announced the election dates regarding the Delhi Assembly Elections. The Election Commission will hold the elections on 8th February, 2020 while the counting will be performed on 11th February, 2020.
But what’s surprising here is that BJP MP Manoj Tiwari seemed to know the election dates even before it was announced by the Election Commission. Though this can also be regarded as a coincidence or a guess.

MP Manoj Tiwari was invited to a News 18 program on December 18, 2019 where he was asked a question related to CM Arvind Kejriwal and Delhi elections. Manoj Tiwari answered in a way which surprised the anchor as well as the audience. The following conversation took place in the live show:-
Question by anchor-” केजरीवाल जी को लगता है की जब महाराष्ट्र में बीजेपी की सरकार नहीं बन पाई, तो दिल्ली के अंदर तो मैं दबंग हुँ” / “CM Kejriwal thinks that since BJP was unable to form government in Maharashtra, that’s why I am Dabangg (overbearing) in Delhi?”
Answer by Manoj Tiwari-“वो (अरविंद केजरीवाल ) दबंग है या नहीं ये तो 8 फरवरी को पता ही चल जायेगा” / “Whether he(Arvind Kejriwal) is Dabangg(overbearing) or not we will come to know on 8 February.
Other Parties Raise Question-
Many leaders from parties like AAP and Congress have raised questions about the involvement of BJP in the decisions of Election Commission. This is not the first time when other parties have accussed Election Commission to be biased. In 2019 Lok Sabha Elections, the issue of EVM tampering was also raised on a mass level.
Election Commission & Manoj Tiwari Silent
There has been no statement from Manoj Tiwari as well as from the Election Commission about his 18th December statement. If the dates have been actually leaked as alleged by other parties then Election Commission must clarify to make the process of Democracy more transparent.
